Morris Plains, billing itself 'the Community of Caring' is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey. Home to more than 5,500 residents, Morris Plains encompasses just 2.6 square miles of central Morris County. Morris Plains serves as a bedroom community for workers in New York City as the Morristown Line of NJ Transit provides commuters with direct access to New York Penn Station and the Hoboken Terminal.

The Morris Plains School educate students from grades K-8.These schools include: Mountain Way School (K-2) and Borough School (3-8). Students in public school for grades 9-12 attend Morristown High School with students from Morristown and Morris Township. There is also a Catholic school within the borough limits, St. Virgil School educated children in Pre-K through eighth grade.
