Known for it's low taxes, East Hanover is an active and very family friendly community located approximately 25 miles west of New York City. The township has a population of 11, 393 residents. There is a variety of housing available in East Hanover. East Hanover is a very active community with many events for the entire family. During the summer months there are different live concerts in the park. In October there is a Columbus Day Parade and feast that lasts an entire weekend and lets not forget about the carnival at Lurker Park that kicks off every summer. East Hanover is home to many families, as well as numerous businesses and corporations, including the headquarters of the Nabisco Company and Novartis, the pharmaceutical company.

East Hanover is within close proximity to numerous roadways located close to town. Residents utilize Routes 80, 280, 287, 46 and 10, as well as the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.

The East Hanover School District serves students in grades kindergarten through eight at the Frank J. Smith School through second grade, the Central School for grades three through five and East Hanover Middle School for six through eight. High school students attend nearby Hanover Park Regional High School.
