Often referred to as the Cherry Blossom Capital of America, Belleville is a favorite spot for admiring the scenery when the trees bloom in the spring. It has a population of roughly 35,000 residents and is located approximately twenty miles from New York City, an hour from the beautiful Jersey Shore. Belleville covers 3.2 square miles of the Northeast corner of Essex County. The town has many major roadways and offers an excellent transportation system. There is also a variety of dining selections and recreational activities year-round.
The Belleville Public School System educates students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Children in kindergarten through sixth grade attend one of seven public elementary schools. Belleview Middle School serves students in grades seven and eight and Belleville High School serves students in grades nine through twelve.
